SOFTBALL

Roselle Park 9, Metuchen 5: Roselle Park (9-0) rallied for five runs in the top of the seventh to beat Metuchen. Julia Fenton hit a grand slam for Metuchen (3-2). Sarah Prehodka finished with one RBI and scored a run. Rachel Wyetzner and Sophie Lipschutz each scored a run. 

Timothy Christian 9, Woodbridge Academy 8: Rayza Michelen went 2-for-3 with three runs scored for Timothy Christian (3-2). Joshlyn Brown finished with two RBI and one run scored. Rachel Thiero scored three runs. Sarah Collier doubled and had one RBI. Lilly Tipton finished with one RBI and scored one run.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Monroe 10, Old Bridge 5: Ashley Patten finished with seven goals and one assist, including her 100th career goal, to lead Monroe (7-2). Liz Skobelev, Paige Gandy and Kailey Batoglia also scored. Julianne Palmer made six saves. For Old Bridge (4-4), Emily Lopes and Abigail Zimmerlink each scored twice. Erin Handy also scored. 

Hunterdon Central 15, North Hunterdon 4: Lauren Shaw led Hunterdon Central (7-3) with four goals and four assists. Gabby Jones recorded a hat trick and three assists. Brittany Bill finished with a hat trick. Emily Bill totaled two goals and three assists. Danielle Livornese scored twice. For North Hunterdon (3-7), Katie Fullowan led with two goals and two assists. Samantha VanBelle and Jen DuFresne also scored. 

Somerville 20, Montgomery 11: Camryn Rogers scored eight goals and Jennifer Williams scored five goals to pace Somerville (5-4). Kylee Garcia finished with four goals. Bryn Rolon added two goals and two assists. Kylie Sullivan chipped in one goal and one assist. For Montgomery (3-5), Payton Edwards recorded a hat trick. Chelsea Beckelman, Madison Csontos and Angela Masessa each scored twice. Kate Heidt totaled one goal and two assists. 

South Brunswick 17, J.P. Stevens 3: Shannen Sterner led South Brunswick (4-4) with four goals and one assist. Haley Konopka recorded a hat trick and one assist. Madison Butler added two goals and one assist. Margot Costello, Katrina Saleh and Medha Gupta each finished with one goal and one assist. Lola Bakhadyrova and April Hillen combined for five saves. For J.P. Stevens (3-5), Layla Farhan, Christina Rusk and Radha Shinde scored. Bansi Patel chipped in two assists. Jessie Racioppi made 14 saves. 

East Brunswick 12, Edison 6: Kristen Maxwell scored four goals to lift East Brunswick (3-6). Kayla Reardon and Madelyn Farrell each recorded a hat trick. Caitlyn Robertson added one goal and three assists. Maria Marmora also scored and Maggie Goldberg made 15 saves. For Edison (0-6), Kenisha Chester led with a hat trick. Ashley LaMarca scored twice. Jenna Papa also scored. 

Hillsborough 8, Bridgewater-Raritan 7: Sara Coutts finished with four goals and two assists to lead Hillsborough (5-3). Olivia Buckman recorded one goal and one assist. Olivia Johnsen, Lisa Ross and Gabriella Vangeli also scored. Kya Risher made 12 saves. Tai Jankowski led Bridgewater-Raritan (6-3) with two goals and three assists. CJ Amster totaled two goals and one assist. Lizzy Escudero, Sadie Herman and Heather Stires also scored. Kelsey Kaplowitz made 11 saves. 

Voorhees 17, Warren Hills 5: Katie McLean led Voorhees (7-3) with five goals. Sarah Wittpenn finished with four goals and two assists. Emma Evanko recorded a hat trick and two assists. Colby Gavornik added two goals and one assist. Noelle Gabrish made eight saves. 

North Brunswick 18, Bishop Ahr 0: Cassie Oake finished with four goals and four assists to lift North Brunswick (5-4). Julia Davies totaled four goals and three assists. Elena Vargas recorded three goals and three assists. Katie Panitch and Alexis Rich each scored twice. Katherine Manley chipped in one goal and six assists. For Bishop Ahr (1-5), Sydney Samuelson made five saves. 

Ridge 13, Bernards 2: Mena Loescher recorded a hat trick and one assist and Emma Wightman totaled a hat trick to lead Ridge (8-1). Bailey Aaron finished with two goals and one assist. Annabelle Pesarchick scored twice. Emily Schmitt made six saves. For Bernards (6-3), Laurel McHale and Annie Thomas scored. 

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 15, Gov. Livingston 10: Amber Bretz finished with four goals and two assists to lead Scotch Plains-Fanwood (7-1). Brigit Jacob, Sabrina DiLollo, Kelly Mehorter and Emma Philip each scored twice. Erica Paprocki, Catherine Buren and Carly Walker also scored. Libby Daniskas made five saves. 

BOYS LACROSSE

Bridgewater-Raritan 16, Hillsborough 4: Dan MacKinney scored five goals to lead Bridgewater-Raritan (3-5). Jake Goldstein finished with two goals and two assists. John Dugenio and Troy Tangolics each scored twice. Jordan Orloff made five saves. Chris Santa Barbara scored twice for Hillsborough (4-4). Tim Yost added one goal and two assist. Tom Ramsey also scored. 

Montgomery 11, Somerville 8: Max Drift scored six goals to lift Montgomery (5-2). Kyle Howard finished with two goals and three assists. Christian Boyle and Shane Freda each added one goal and one assist. Lucas Kopecky also scored and Will Marrapodi chipped in three assists. Noah Lin made nine saves. For Somerville (2-7), Ryan Pedrani recorded a hat trick and one assist. TJ Sanchez scored twice. Ryan Pierson, Steven Dupras and Nolan Quade also scored. Griffin Leblond totaled three assists. 

Mater Dei 8, Wardlaw-Hartridge/Union Catholic 7: Jack Sartor scored four goals for Wardlaw-Hartridge/Union Catholic (4-2). Jason Yin, Christian Nowicki and Chris Erlandsen also scored. Ryan Brace added two assists. Drew Cummins made eight saves. 

Hunterdon Central 10, North Hunterdon 5: Jackson Mordeci and Justin Aimone each finished with two goals and one assist for Hunterdon Central (7-2). Brian Mitrow scored twice. Sean Parker recorded one goal and two assists. Carter Varin, Jack Aimone and Salvatore Lentine also scored. Hunter Terpe made seven saves. For North Hunterdon (5-4), Jared McMahon led with two goals and one assist. Nicholas Grande and Connor McMahon each had one goal and one assist. Parker Brennan also scored. Anthony Tufaro made seven saves.

Voorhees 12, Lenape Valley 5: Alex Hufford led Voorhees (5-5) with five goals. Doug Lemenze finished with two goals and one assist. John Roncoroni recorded one goal and two assists. Nick Anhorn and Fred Clucas each had one goal and one assist. Ben Hemberger also scored. 

South Brunswick 4, St. Joseph (Met.) 3: Austin Haren recorded a hat trick for South Brunswick (3-6). Danny Woisznies also scored. Jon Lanzalotto added four assists. Roger Sheffmaker made 14 saves. 

BASEBALL

Rahway 2, Plainfield 1: Rahway scored twice in the top of the fourth to top Plainfield. Jason Winters earned the win for Rahway (6-1) after he allowed one earned run on five hits, walked two and struck out six in a complete-game effort. He also doubled and scored a run. Jordan Becker finished with two RBI. Andres Garcia tripled and scored a run. For Plainfield (2-5), Radison Bonilla finished with one RBI and Waldy Arias scored a run. 

North Hunterdon 8, Franklin 7: Justin Johnson went 2-for-2 with three runs scored for North Hunterdon (5-3). Matt Busher went 2-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Chris Markovich had two RBI. Matt Wagner finished with two RBI and one run scored. Mike Pierce had one RBI. For Franklin (0-6), AJ Gordon went 2-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Max Parrone went 2-for-2 with one RBI and two runs scored. Danish Nadeem had two RBI. Joshua Kuroda-Grauer had one RBI. Connor Murphy, Ryan Hanna and Gabe Perez each scored a run.
