Jeff Passan is well-known in the MLB world for breaking news and writing in-depth stories about teams, trades and anything baseball related.
And perhaps in the coming years he’ll break news about someone close to him reaching a deal with a Major League Baseball team.
Passan‘s son, Jack Passan, revealed on X on Tuesday that he committed to Williams College — in Williamstown, Massachusetts — to play baseball as an outfielder for the next four years.
“I’m thrilled to announce my commitment to the admissions process at Williams College!,” Jack posted to X. “Thank you to my coaches and parents for their unwavering support and sacrifice, and to Coach Barrale for providing this opportunity. Excited for the next four in purple and gold. Go Ephs!”
Williams is a Division III NCAA school.
His father then shared his own words of excitement on social media.
“Could not be more proud. Hard work and dedication led him to his dream school,” Passan wrote. “I’m lucky to be (a) father to such a wonderful son. And also the new biggest fan of Williams baseball.”
