“I was informed that André Ventura felt unwell at a party event. From the dinner rally I am attending in Caldas da Rainha, I send my wishes for a quick recovery, hoping it is nothing serious,” wrote Luís Montenegro on his official account on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
The president of the Chega party, André Ventura, felt unwell today during a speech at a dinner rally in Tavira and was removed from the stage to receive medical assistance.
André Ventura was speaking when, around 21:10, he abruptly stopped, with members of his entourage quickly offering support and escorting him outside the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Tavira.
Subsequently, members of the Tavira Municipal Firefighters arrived to provide assistance to the Chega president, along with an INEM immediate life support ambulance.
