Following a striking Met Gala look on Monday, Teyana Taylor continued her style streak in New York City on Wednesday with an all-denim Schiaparelli look set off by a pair of Timberland boots.
She was spotted outside of the The Carlyle Hotel, where Met Gala invitees tend to stay ahead of the event since it’s located just blocks away from The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Taylor was decked out in luxury denim, wearing a dark wash set from Schiaparelli’s fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection comprised of a fitted jean jacket and wide leg jeans, which she wore cuffed at the bottom. Both garments both featured gold buttons in iconic Schiaparelli shapes like an ear and a keyhole, showcasing the brand’s surrealist-inspired designs.

Her accessories included a classic navy blue Yankees baseball cap — the actress is a native of New York City — and amber tinted sunglasses. This Schiaparelli outfit was previously worn by Maya Hawke to the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, though she paired the shoes with black pointed-toe shoes.
Taylor kept her version of the look casual and functional with a pair of Timberland boots in the wheat colorway strongly associated with the brand. Her shoes featured a rounded toe and a rugged rubber lug outsole, as well as a visible tag bearing the brand’s tree logo. The boots, a New York style staple, retail for $130.
A fan of the brand, the Harlem native has previously styled Timberland boots with distressed jeans, a Tupac Shakur shirt and a multi-colored leather jacket.

Taylor just recently made a sartorial impression at the 2025 Met Gala with a custom zoot suit look designed by Academy Award winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter.
She paired her suit and dramatic cape with a custom version of Marc Jacobs’ Kiki boots, showcasing a navy blue and red iteration of the popular strappy platform style.
