WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) - Thomas enters the NAC Softball Tournament as the No. 2 seed in the East at 6-2 behind Husson at 8-0.

The Terriers described how they have a chance to contend for a conference title.

“The way that we’ve taken on (the) Florida (road trip games) and those big teams has gotten us ready for going against teams like Husson. Playing every game like it’ll be our last, every pitch, every swing, every fielding mistake matters. We’re going to give it our all every single pitch,” said Teresa McLinden, senior third base.

Thomas opens against No. 6 Vermont State Lyndon on Thursday at Noon in Cobleskill, N.Y.

Thomas baseball will be in Bangor for the NAC Baseball Tournament this week.

The Terriers finished second in the East at 12-6 behind 13-4 Husson.

“We’re playing with a lot of confidence right now. The last couple weeks have been really well for us. All of our aspects are clicking at the right time. The pitching, hitting, and defense, we’re just playing really good baseball. The characters have all been in line too. We’re having a good time,” said Matt Seymour, senior outfielder.

The Terriers will take on No. 2 Lesley on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Husson.
