PRINSBURG — Dawson-Boyd secured its first win of the season by beating Camden Conference foe Central Minnesota Christian School 15-4 on Tuesday.

Dawson-Boyd is 1-0 in the conference and 1-1 overall. CMCS is 1-4 both in conference play and on the year.

Kameron Sather led Dawson-Boyd offensively late in the contest. The junior left fielder hit a solo home run in the Blackjacks’ three-run seventh inning. His outing finished 1-for-3 with three runs, a pair of RBIs and two runs.

All who saw an at-bat for Dawson-Boyd recorded at least one hit, led by Tygan Long. The senior third baseman went 3-for-5 with a double, four RBIs and one run.

The Bluejays held a 3-2 lead after one inning of play, but it didn’t hold for long. The Bluejays jumped out to an early lead after junior Preston Dehmlow hit a three-run home run to make 3-2.CMCS hosts Ortonville for a Camden game at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Prinsburg. Dawson-Boyd plays a non-conference game at 5 p.m. Monday at Springfield.

MACCRAY scored five runs in the third inning before holding off Lakeview at Raymond.

Lane Osterfeld, Peyton Schlagel, Xavier Noble and Keegan Rand each had one hit for the Wolverines. Osterfeld had an RBI triple in the third, where Rand hit an RBI single. Schlagel’s hit also came as a double. Noble scored the game’s first run after stealing home.

Jackson Kruse’s two-run RBI double and David Schuh’s RBI single in the top of the seventh propelled Tracy-Milroy-Balaton over the Eagles at Madison.

Schuh recorded three of the Panthers’ six hits. He went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

For the Eagles, Landon Weber went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs.

Braden Nelson went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, a stolen base, two runs and three RBIs in Yellow Medicine East’s victory over Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg at Sunburg’s Willie Reigstad Field.

Gunnar Fagen got the complete-game win, striking out five and walking three. He allowed six hits and one earned run.

Six players had hits for KMS: Jett Olson, Hunter Engelke, Kylen Payne, Jackson Doscher, Colton Noble and Clayton Olson.

Drew Lieser struck out seven and walked one, allowing three hits and one earned run in his five-inning complete game to lead St. Cloud past the Cardinals at Willmar.

Lieser was also productive offensively for the Crush, batting 3-for-4 with an RBI and one steal.

Tucker Johnson tossed a complete game, striking out five and walking one, to complete the doubleheader sweep for Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at Kimball.

“We got some good pitching today which was huge for us,” ACGC head coach. Dave Zaeska said.

Johnson hit a two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the sixth to open up a 5-4 ACGC lead.

Scott Saue went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, two runs and an RBI for the Falcons.

Tucker Johnson and Scott Saue hit home runs in Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City’s six-inning win at Kimball.

Johnson wound up going 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, a stolen base, three runs and three RBIs. Saue drove in four runs and was 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly. Regan Elton was 3-for-5 with three runs and an RBI and Rowan Molinaro and Gavin Degner each had two hits.

Molinaro went five innings for the pitching win.

Max Nygaard went 3-for-3 with four runs scored and three stolen bases in Benson’s West Central Conference win over BOLD at Lions Memorial Park at Bird Island.

Alex Claussen picked up the win for the Braves after striking out 10 over six innings. Nygaard picked up the save, striking out two.

Jonah Walton was 1-for-4 with two RBIs for the Warriors.

Alex Asmus was key on the bump and in the batter’s box for Morris/Chokio-Alberta in its win against the Bulldogs at Paynesville.

Asmus threw a complete game with three strikeouts and one walk, allowing five hits and three earned runs. He also batted 1-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, one run and a hit-by-pitch.

For Paynesville, Peyton Hemmesch, Reed Johnson, Esau Nelson, Eric Paulson and Brayden VanderBeek each had one hit. Paulson had a pair of RBIs and Nelson had one.
