Hello! Beginning in 1960, I lived in Quincy and attended school there in the 5th; 6th; and 7th grades. Rita Atwood was my 5th grade teacher and Miss Fennimore was my 6th grade teacher. Pete Romano; Rich Longwell; and Steve Weber were among numerous good friends. I loved playing Little League and Babe Ruth baseball; basketball and football. I finished school at Roosevelt high school in Seattle; graduated from Wazzu and and attended both Seattle University and University of Washington Schools of Law. I was a Navy JAG Attorney for 30 years and then did a second 15-year career with the Navy Office of General Counsel. I am currently retired and live with my wife, Pennie, also a retired Navy Attorney, in North San Diego County, California. Recently my Mom passed away and I found a Limerick that I wrote when I was in the 7th Grade in Quincy. I hope that you enjoy it.
There once was a lady from Quincy
Whose stride was both haughty and mincy
Her nose in the air, she missed a stair
Now her stride is more wincy than mincy
I have nothing but good thoughts about growing up in Quincy.
