Grand slams from the top and bottom of the order powered No. 16 Oregon to a run-rule win over Georgetown.

Leadoff hitter Mason Neville and No. 9 hitter Carter Garate each hit home runs in a 12-1 Ducks win in seven innings Monday afternoon at Capital One Park in Tysons, Virginia.

It was the first homer of the season for Garate, a junior with five home runs in 332 career at-bats entering the day.

After three scoreless innings, Oregon (25-10) broke through on an RBI double by Burke-Lee Mabeus. Back-to-back walks loaded the bases for Carter, who was hit by a pitch to force in a run, then Neville followed with a home run to right to make it 6-0.

Georgetown (12-24) got a run back in the bottom of the inning on a solo home run by Own Carapellotti. It was the only run allowed by Ian Umlandt (4-1) on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts over 7.0 innings.

Johan Franco (2-1) allowed four runs on two hits, five walks and a hit batter and struck out four over 3.2 IP for the Hoyas.

Dominic Hellman hit an RBI double in the sixth to make it 7-1. With the bases loaded and one out in the seventh, Ryan Cooney hit an RBI single and Garate followed with a home run to invoke the run rule.
