At least nine research grants at the University of Georgia have been terminated due to federal funding cuts issued by the Trump administration. The university has instructed researchers to stop all work on their projects if they receive a notice of termination. These researchers, who mainly consist of professors and graduate students, are trying to figure out what this series of events means for them and their careers.
The tension at Foley Field on Sunday afternoon was palpable. A sellout crowd of 3,633 was on its feet in the bottom of the 12th inning when Henry Hunter, with two outs and the game hanging in balance, launched a towering home run that secured a thrilling 7-6 Bulldogs’ victory over top-ranked Arkansas in a decisive series finale. The hard-fought series win marked a significant milestone for the Bulldogs, their first against a No. 1 team at home since 1993 and their first overall against a top-ranked opponent since 2021, ending the Razorbacks' 12-game SEC winning streak.
