This year’s Whitecaps team is loaded with future MLB talent, including Max Clark and Kevin McGonigle. Both Detroit Tigers prospects are listed in MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects. They hope to have a good start to the season, and try to end the team’s almost seven-year playoff absence.

The Whitecaps open the season up on Friday night, taking on the Dayton Dragons, the High-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. West Michigan will host Dayton on Saturday and Sunday as well.
