One of the Grand Rapids area’s longstanding pro sports franchises is ready to begin a new season, as the West Michigan Whitecaps are getting ready for their 31st season.

The Whitecaps, who have been playing almost every year since 1994 (the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19), have been a huge part of the culture off the banks of the Grand River.

Along with putting on a great show for the thousands and thousands of patrons that come to LMUC Ballpark every game, fans get the chance to see the next wave of Major League Baseball talent learn their craft before climbing up the minor-league ranks. Names like Brandon Inge, Nick Castellanos, Spencer Torkelson and Jackson Jobe have called West Michigan home as part of their trek to the big leagues.

Along with the great action and entertainment, the prices for a day or night at the ballpark are affordable for the whole family. On top of that, fans get a chance to see the new-look LMCU Ballpark in full force this season after over a year’s worth of renovations were done.
