Crisp Co. Recreation Dept. to host pop-up health fair at baseball opening day
CORDELE, Ga. – Also this weekend, health officials are teaming up with the Crisp County Recreation Department for a health fair during opening day for youth baseball in Cordele.
There’ll be a variety of Crisp County health businesses in attendance to allow parents to prioritize their family’s health, while their kids play on the field.
Monica Robinson, Crisp Co. Community Council spoke to us about the event.
“And, we really were looking for an opportunity to be able to get resources and information to our community and to the parents that are servicing the kids who are receiving the services. And, so, when we had the opportunity to partner with the Recreation Department and take advantage of the thousands of moms and dads who are going to be waiting around for their kids to play softball or baseball or T-ball, we jumped at it,” said Monica Robinson, Crisp Co. Community Council.
“But, this is just an opportunity for all of our local partners that are within the collaborative to be able to be seen, make sure that their services are heard and answer any questions that the community might have about the resources to,” said Robinson.
The pop-up event and opening day will be from 9 am to 2pm this Saturday, March 29th at the Crisp County Youth Baseball Complex, located at 1512 East 8th Avenue.
