Is Texas playing baseball on Saturday? Weather impacts the Longhorns' weekend plans.

The Texas Longhorns won’t be playing ball on Saturday.

Late Friday, Mississippi State announced that its home game against the Texas baseball team on Saturday had been postponed. The forecast in the Starkville area calls for inclement weather throughout Saturday.

Texas and Mississippi State will pivot to a Sunday doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m. Both of the contests at Dudy Noble Field will be seven-inning games.

On Friday, Texas (15-1) earned an 8-7 win over Mississippi State (13-5) in what was the Longhorns’ Southeastern Conference debut. Texas has now won 15 straight games.
