HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - First pitch for the University of Southern Mississippi’s baseball game on Saturday had been rescheduled because of inclement weather expected later in the day.

USM Athletics announced Friday evening that Saturday’s game time had bumped back by two hours. Originally scheduled for a 2 p.m. start, the game with the University of North Carolina-Wilmington now wi9ll start at noon at Pete Taylor Park.

The best-of-three series will wrap up as scheduled with a 1 p.m. game Sunday.

USM softball also will be impacted by the weather.

Saturday’s 12:30 p.m. game between the Lady Eagles and North Dakota State University has been moved to 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
