After a 1-2-3 bottom half by Pause, Gavin O'Donnell singled to lead off the fifth. Christian Salzarulo followed with a two-run homer. Quentin Christopher, Pause and Eddie Ferris then hit consecutive singles to go ahead 7-4. It wound up a five-run fifth inning.

Longmeadow 4, Pittsfield 3

LONGMEADOW — In the continuation of a game that was suspended earlier this season, the Generals lost on a walk-off by Longmeadow.

The Lancers won on a bases-loaded walk in the 12th inning.

The game, which started on April 8, was tied 3-3 after eight innings and called for darkness. The teams finished Wednesday afternoon. Pittsfield got two men on in the ninth, but couldn't score, and did the same in the 12th. A two-out walk was followed by a single by Ben Jacob, but that was the extent of the PHS offense in the restart.

Matt Burega went 4 1/3 innings and was saddled with the loss, despite not allowing a hit or earned run. He struck out two and walked four. PHS made five errors in the game.
