Clemson baseball score vs. No. 2 Wake Forest: Live updates from key ACC series

CLEMSON — Clemson baseball hosts the No. 2 team in the country in Wake Forest for a three-game series starting Thursday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

The Tigers (16-10, 2-4 ACC) are coming off a midweek win over College of Charleston. They lost their most recent ACC series at Georgia Tech 2-1.

Wake Forest (23-3, 7-2) enters the series on a five-game winning streak, including a sweep of No. 20 Miami last weekend. The Demon Deacons' only ACC losses came to Duke and Notre Dame.

Clemson will start right-handed pitcher Austin Gordon (0-1, 4.99 ERA) on Thursday against Wake Forest right-hander Rhett Lowder (5-0, 1.42). On Friday, the Tigers will start right-hander Joe Allen (1-0, 3.63) against Demon Deacons lefty Sean Sullivan (4-1, 1.76). For the series finale on Saturday, Clemson will start left-hander Caden Grice (1-0, 3.21) against Wake Forest lefty Josh Hartle (5-1, 1.80).
