Nancy Dell'Olio claims she intimidated Victoria Beckham and her fellow WAGS after travelling to Germany with the England team ahead of the 2006 World Cup. 

Quaint Black Forest town Baden Baden played host to a high-profile assortment of wives and girlfriends - among them Victoria, Cheryl Cole and Coleen Rooney - as the national side played their final tournament under Swedish manager Sven-Göran Eriksson. 

But fiery Italian Dell'Olio, 61, admits her status as Eriksson's long-term girlfriend created distance between herself and the rest of the group, who courted attention from the world's press during high-end shopping trips and boozy nights out while she preferred to remain out of the public eye.

She told Tatler: 'They were all quite intimidated by my presence. It's one thing to be the wife of the footballer - I was with the manager. We spent one or two evenings together in the hotel, but I had a different sort of routine.

'I knew there were paparazzi and photographers there so I tried to avoid it. Even walking in the park they were taking pictures.

'The women] went out to do shopping and they knew they were followed. It is not something that I enjoyed, because I had to live with it.'

Despite distancing herself from many of the group's social activities, she admits to enjoying Victoria's company as the former Spice Girl supported husband David, who captained the team to a drab quarter final before crashing out to Portugal. 

She recalled: 'I spent a little bit more time with Victoria. She is a lovely, lovely person. Very quiet and reserved - smart and a bit controlling. She is a person who loves to have a good time.'

Dell'Olio's relationship with Eriksson came to an end in 2007, more than 12-months after his five-year tenure with England came to an end at Gelsenkirchen's Arena AufSchalke.

But she still harbours fond memories of her time with the England WAGS, and insists their present day counterparts are less appealing.   

'They keep it very quiet. They are less glamorous because it's not me anymore around!' she joked. 

'I was called the First Lady of football: there's never been one before and there's never been one after me.'

Meanwhile, model Paige, 27, could be seen in Instagram snaps flicking a victory sign as she wore the new Three Lions jersey while standing with the son she shares with Raheem, Thiago, five, and his daughter from his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Melissa Clarke, Melody Rose, 10.

Following their game, the England squad rushed to celebrate with their loved ones in the stands; Grealish was pictured sharing a cuddle with his girlfriend to celebrate the win, while captain Harry was seen hugging his children after the match.

In Qatar, alcohol is largely only served in hotel restaurants and bars that have licenses. It is illegal to consume it anywhere else. However, non-Muslim residents of Doha who have a booze license can drink at home.

England manager Gareth Southgate named his squad which he hopes will lead the country to World Cup glory in Qatar this winter.

His 26 footballers journeyed to Doha ahead of their first match against Iran - and the team will be supported by a glamorous array of wives and girlfriends.

Many of those heading to Qatar to cheer on the squad are reportedly staying on a £1billion cruise liner off the coast, with their husbands not allowed on board.

She sparked controversy in December last year after sharing a message in support of anti-vax protestors. Megan shared a photo from the so-called Freedom March that sparked chaotic scenes across central London on December 18.

The demonstration, declared a 'major incident' by London mayor Sadiq Khan, was attended by thousands of anti-vaxxers after further restrictions were put in place to slow the spread of new coronavirus variant Omicron.

Davison appeared to show a degree of empathy for the mob by sharing a photo of one protestor holding a placard emblazoned with the message: 'Even if you're not conspiracy minded, something in your soul has to say…something is wrong.'

The photo was posted without additional comment from the mother-of-one, and is no longer present on her Instagram account.

However weeks later, he and Kennedy welcomed a son named Leo, and new mother Kennedy, 27, shared an adorable photo of the little lad.

Posting a sweet snap of Leo to Instagram on Monday, the newborn could be seen bundled up in a grey blanket while nestled on a bed.

Telling fans she's 'never felt a love like it' and making sure to mention her 24-year-old partner, the brunette beauty captioned her post: 'Leo Cruz Maddison 7/31/21. never felt a love like it.' [sic]
