The demolition of one of the previous houses of the baseball legend Derek Jeter is in the headlines for quite some time now. People are coming from all over to see the great Tampa mansion for the last time before it comes down to dust.

Built on Davis Islands in Tampa, Florida, Jeter bought this house for $15.5 million in 2012. For privacy, the mansion has a six-foot wall on the boundary, which the local residents used to call “The Great Wall of Jeter.”

Before Derek Jeter built this house, the lot consisted of more than one house. Because of commercial purposes, the application of demolition is in process. If it does happen, it is likely that more than one house will be constructed on the property, as it were before Jeter bought the property.
