Mizzou upsets No. 3 Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Miss. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou baseball team upset No. 3 Mississippi State to send the series to a rubber match and snap a ten-game losing skid.

The Tigers kept it close with the Bulldogs throughout, tying it up multiple times, but the Mississippi-native Joshua Day sealed the deal. The junior knocked one left to bring in one run and take the 7-6 lead in the top of the ninth inning.

Multiple players brought a guy across home plate, including Mark Vierling, Andrew Keefer, and Columbia-native Tre Morris.

Up next - Mizzou and No. 3 Mississippi State will head to the rubber match on Saturday 1 P.M.
