Baseball America released its preseason top 25 Tuesday morning, and LSU made its fourth top 20 appearance in a publication's preseason ranking.

The Tigers checked in at No. 17 in Baseball America's preseason top 25, which was its lowest preseason ranking to date. In the three other preseason rankings released thus far, LSU has been ranked 10th (Collegiate Baseball), 12th (Perfect Game) and 16th (D1 Baseball).

LSU is replacing several key components from last season's team, including its entire weekend rotation and four impact hitters from its lineup.

Florida, who beat LSU in last season's College World Series championship, was Baseball America's top ranked team. The Gators are the consensus No. 1 team in the country according to all the preseason top 25s released to date.

Six other Southeastern Conference schools joined the Tigers and Gators in Baseball America's rankings: No. 4 Arkansas, No. 8 Kentucky, No. 10 Texas A&M, No. 16 Ole Miss, No. 18 Vanderbilt and No. 23 Mississippi State.
