9 Alabama HS baseball players make All-American team

Nine Alabama players made the Collegiate Baseball High School All-American Team.

The state produced five first-team selections. Here's the complete list.

First team
Josh Hall, OF, Homewood: The greatest base stealer in the history of high school baseball finished his career with 224 swipes. An Ole Miss signee, Hall hit .500 last season with 82 steals and was named the Class 6A Player of the Year.

Jeremiah Jackson, SS, St. Luke's: Alabama's Mr. Baseball was taken in the second round (57th overall) by the Los Angeles Angels. Jackson hit .637 with 15 home runs and 49 RBIs as a senior.

Will Morrison, RHP, Cullman: The Auburn commitment and 6A Pitcher of the Year went 8-3 with a 0.64 ERA, 101 strikeouts and seven walks in 77 innings. He also hit .464 with six homers, 11 doubles and 39 RBIs.

Grayson Taylor, SS, Cullman: Taylor hit .364 with 10 homers and 42 doubles. The Belmont signee was named 6A first-team All-State as a designated hitter.

Garrett Wade, LHP, Hartselle: The Gatorade Alabama Player of the Year and Auburn signee went 7-2 with a 0.90 ERA, 103 strikeouts and 20 walks in 54 2/3 innings. He also hit .391 with nine doubles and 27 RBIs.

Second team
Gene Hurst, HRP, Oak Mountain: Hurst went 5-2 with a 1.88 ERA, 60 strikeouts and 18 walks in 55 2/3 innings. A Samford signee, he was named 7A second-team All-State.

Christian Macleod, LHP, Huntsville: A Mississippi State signee, MacLeod was a 7A first-team All-State selection after going 8-2 with a 1.13 ERA, 103 strikeouts and 18 walks in 55 2/3 innings.

Brody Moore, RHP/OF, Oneonta: The Auburn signee and 4A Pitcher of the Year went 10-1 with a 1.16 ERA, 71 strikeouts and five walks in 66 1/3 innings. He hit .545 with 11 doubles and 30 RBis.  

T.J. Reeves, OF, Hueytown: The Alabama signee was a 6A first-team selection after hitting .438 with seven home runs, 13 doubles, five triples and 30 RBIs.
